Three Families, One Leaking Roof,
and a Father Full of Questions
Chiang Mai, Thailand ยท June 2026
Dear friends and faithful supporters,
The rainy season arrived early this year in Chiang Mai โ with a dramatic entrance. Right in the middle of last Tuesday's village Bible study, our roof began to leak. Buckets were found, laughter broke out, and study continued undeterred.
"Three families showed up for the first time that evening. Rain, buckets, and all โ God was already at work."
Spotlight: The Sombat Family
One of those new families is the Sombats. The father, Khun Sombat, has been asking remarkably thoughtful questions about Scripture. Please hold him in prayer specifically โ these are exactly the conversations we've been waiting years to have.
Prayer Requests
- The Sombat family โ especially Khun Sombat as he explores faith
- The three new families โ that last week's visit becomes the first of many
- Roof repairs โ we're trusting God for $2,000 to fix the study space before the rainy season peaks
- Our children โ they're doing well in school and adjusting beautifully
๐
Practical need: $2,000 for roof repairs. The village study space is central to our outreach. If you'd like to give toward this, reply to this email or visit our giving page.
We miss you all dearly. Your prayers and partnership make nights like last Tuesday possible โ even the leaky-roof ones.
With love from the field,
The Johnson Family
